Lefthanded is a fun and colorful fashion brand, where pop art and humor blend beautifully in a mix of bright colors and fun statements. The brand celebrates diversity and uniqueness, provoking you to explore your imagination, discover and love your personality and feel empowered to show your true colors.
The creator of this amazing emerging brand is Viki Vicic, a talented designer and a lawyer, who decided to pursue her creative endeavors and build a brand. Thus, Lefthanded was born in a blast of colors, humor and empowerment. The brand is a great reflection of Viki’s own personality – bright, fun and inspirational! Viki bursts with joy and positivity and every conversation that we have has a heartwarming impact. It is such an honor to introduce Viki as a guest in TEYXO Lifestyle!
I rather choose to be “left” than “being always right“. I never wanted to be right. I love more exploring and questioning than always having the answer.

Your designs are so colorful, bright and playful! Adding comics and pop culture makes them stand out even more. How did you come up with the idea and what were the beginnings of Lefthanded?
Viki: Well… I suppose all good things start with “I wanted to have something special, something I had imagined in my mind…”
It was also a deeper desire: my artistic soul wanted to express itself. I have been a lawyer for many years, so I didn’t have much space for self expression as I’ve wanted in the law branch. So I decided to take a new twist, put arts and fashion on #1 place and take a risk. Here I am – four years later – happier than ever!
The Idea came from the need to make some cool bags for myself… My motto is from the office to dinner or red carpet.
My brand – Lefthanded – is a blend of a few things that I cherish a lot: humor, comics, bright concrete colors, pop art culture, geometric forms and minimalism. The brand is focused on interesting shapes of bags, beautiful colors and some cool statements. If we can carry statements on our shirts, why not own them on our bags, as well? 🙂
I always had a crush on pop art, fashion, humour and comics. So i believe, it is not surprising that Lefthanded looks like this!
Why “Lefthanded”? What does it mean?
Viki: I am a left handed person…. I write and draw all images with my left hand and since my own attitude is to support minority groups, it seemed like a logical choice 🙂
Also I could say….. I rather choose to be left than being always right. I never wanted to be right. I love more exploring and questioning than always having the answer.
Beautiful is an expression of innocence, lacking any sin. If you look at nature, everything is beautiful and perfect. We – humans – are responsible for seeing lack of beauty. If we could accept that there are no grades of beauty, we would likely accept ourselves much easier. So, for me, beauty is filled with life and divine energy.

What is your motivation to create such an exciting world through your brand?
Viki: My motivation comes from my need to express my ideas and thoughts through visible and tangible creations, showing my world as it is. I just need to turn my ideas into something that you can see, feel and use. This is the most fascinating thing for an artist and creator: the journey of his work from thought to full creation.
What (or who) is your inspiration behind the Lefthanded characters portrayed in your artwork? Do they also have names? 🙂
Viki: Oh! At first I started with giving them names, now I don’t have time to bond too much with them. But if someday I will write or draw a book, I will for sure do this. They are all product of my imagination. However, they look like some popular cartoon characters, don’t they? 🙂
I believe we did very wrong when we labeled us, women, as the more fragile gender and labeled men as the stronger gender. Imagine how stressful it is when you have no right to fail ever! We all have some flaws, but with these flaws we are so perfect…

Humorous and empowering messages are told by your characters, turning your designs into revolutionary accessories that inspire and motivate. How do you feel about empowerment and women’s role today?
Viki: I think it is very important to empower everyone, not only women. Women are just more open than men, but hopefully I am going to inspire men as well. They need support too… I believe we did very wrong when we labeled us, women, as the more fragile gender and labeled men as the stronger gender. Imagine how stressful it is when you have no right to fail ever! We all have some flaws, but with these flaws we are so perfect…
What is the biggest challenge as an artist and designer?
Viki: Definitely the biggest challenge for an artist and designer is to survive on your own, as a unique artist, persona and human being. To become mainstream is like a call of mermaids: once you fall back, you are ‘dead’. It is not easy to remain on your own in any sense, but it is worth it. And I really believe you will agree with me. You are my idol of carrying and sending your message in your own unique way to the whole world.
Thank you so much! I am really honored 🙂 Who inspires you and what do you do to connect with your creative force?
Viki: My inspiration is life. I find it in everyday situations, but definitely what connects me with my creative force is breathing, nature, like-minded people and definitely, spending some time alone, as well.
What is beautiful for you and how would you define “beauty”?
Viki: Beautiful is an expression of innocence, lacking any sin. If you look at nature, everything is beautiful and perfect. We – humans – are responsible for seeing lack of beauty. If we could accept that there are no grades of beauty, we would likely accept ourselves much easier. So, for me, beauty is filled with life and divine energy.
What do you love most about yourself?
Viki: I am becoming a very laid back person, accepting things as they come (if they have to). Of course, taking action is more than welcome. But great wisdom is to accept things which we might not like. This is what I love the most about myself: the ability to embrace both the joy, the success and the less pleasant things life offers you.
What does your success look like?
Viki: Being your own boss, being on your own, being exactly what you are!
If you could have a superpower, what would that be?
Viki: Mmmmm…. I always wanted to fly.
If you could have dinner with anyone – dead or alive, famous or not – who would you choose and why?
Viki: You know, what I can think of… I would love to have dinner with you, Lara, to start with 😉 We have so much to talk about, learn from one another and also have fun.
Yes, we do! I honestly cannot wait to meet you in person. It’s so beautiful to have such an inspiring relationship with a friend, to empower and inspire one another 🙂 We have so much in common too! What is your favorite fashion trend in history?
Viki: I love fashion from the period of suffragettes – it was very feminine, and yet showing women’s power and independence maybe for the first time.
What is your advice for any emerging artist?
Viki: Keep faith in yourself and listen to your own guts. They are never wrong!
What are your future plans and what are you excited about this year?
Viki: Well… this year surprised us all. It showed us we have to be more empathic, less greedy and less self centered. If others are not well, I cannot be well too. You know, I was happy by experiencing isolation. It made me stronger, I believe. What I am excited about now is to keep growing my own brand and business no matter the crisis.
Keep faith in yourself and listen to your own guts. They are never wrong!
