Christian Dior brought light and color into a gray world post-war. He created new shapes for women, reinventing styles and revolutionizing the way women dress. He created a new feminine silhouette, while giving a whole new meaning to haute-couture.

He was so admired and greatly appreciated that his successors carried on his legacy, while adapting his values to their modern reality. Each and every one of the designers that followed added their unique genius and their brilliant touch to the House of Dior. Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons, Maria Grazia Chiuri continued the great work of Christian Dior and their work was celebrated in 2017. That year marked the 70th anniversary of the House of Dior.
First presented in the heart of Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, the Christian Dior, Designer of Dreams exhibition focused on the great influence that Dior had on the entire fashion world and on the creative work of all the designers that lead the House of Dior in the past 70 years. This was the most popular exhibition at that time, attracting over 708,000 spectators.

In February 2019, due to its record-breaking success, the exhibition was revived in London at the Victoria & Albert museum, being the greatest exhibition ever dedicated to Dior in the UK. This exhibition was even more breathtaking than the one in Paris, as it was enriched by a theme focused on Dior’s love for Britain and it was also larger and more extensive.
